Suffixes

A morpheme is added to a root word to change the tense, quantity, meaning or word class

VOWEL SUFFIXES: -ed, -ing, -er, -ier, -est, -al, -able, -ive

CONSONANT SUFFIXES: -ment, -ful, -ly, -ness, -s, -less
